Garapine is an outdoor education centre providing quality programs with real outcomes to all schools. Garapine is also a mountain biking park featuring some of Queensland’s best enduro style trails.
Located in the Mary Valley, just 2 hours north of Brisbane and only 15 minutes south of Gympie, the property borders the Mary River and sits high on a hill overlooking the Valley.
The facilities include three bunk-room style accommodation chalets (buildings), a multi-purpose indoor hall, large undercover concrete terrace and of course plenty of outdoor spaces. A range of activities are available including flying fox, ropes course, kayaking, bush walking, archery and even mountain bike riding.
Garapine has a long standing history in outdoor education, however a number of years ago it was resumed by the Government in order to build Traveston Crossing Dam. Since the plans to build the Dam were scrapped, the property is now back in the hands of private ownership. With no affiliations or ties, we welcome all school, community and corporate groups. Kids and adults are once again be able to enjoy this amazing property.
Our outdoor education programs are designed to provide a camp experience in which students are challenged, realising their true potential, building resilience and learning skills that will help to prepare them for life in the real world. Group outcomes may be based on leadership, team building, skills development, or we can help tailor a programs to meet your needs.
